Journey of Faith & Courage
In life, there are going to be adversities that will cause interference in our plans, our dreams, and our desires, but we must learn to overcome these challenges and use them to grow stronger.
We all have low and high points in our life. These lower moments often define what’s possible depending on our willingness and courage to turn them into a positive and not let them simmer as a negative.
Low points are defined as that moment when the wind is entirely knocked out of you. Where, for a brief period, you feel like there is no hope and you are tempted to give up and call it quits. I experienced the lowest point in my life when my daughter, Reeshemah, lost her life to TTP. I wanted to give up and call it quits. However, there was a greater power inside of me, the power of faith in God which gave me the strength and courage to fight through my struggle.
On my journey, I learned that it takes both the power of faith and courage to turn what seemed like a no way out, helpless situation into a positive opportunity to make a difference in the lives of others. On this journey, I know that I needed to do something that would possibly ease the burden of others who may be faced with the same or similar tragedy that I faced. Learning that you or a family member is diagnosed with a life-threatening rare blood disorder with a 90% mortality rate, if not diagnosed and treated early, is a hard pill to swallow. Especially when you find out that there is a lack of information and resources to support what you are going through.
This is why the Ree Wynn Foundation exists today; to offer the HOPE of a better future for the TTP Community. We are determined, while on our journey of faith and courage, to make a deep impact in the medical community by providing funds for patient care and research. Our faith in God causes us to believe that together we can find a cause and a cure for TTP.
I encourage you to be strong in faith and courageous. “The strongest courage that we can possibly experience comes from our faith in God. We find courage when we trust in His power.”
We were all created to do something great. Greatness is a part of who we all are. Explore your possibilities and make a difference while on your journey.
Dear Friend, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health
